At the Nerdery Foundation, we're committed to helping tech professionals find ways to engage in their communities. We're best known for our Overnight Website Challenge events, but we know that 24-hour hackathons are not for everyone. So we're always on the lookout for more ways to connect techies with their communities.
Now, we're starting to compile volunteer opportunities for tech pros in the Twin Cities area, ways for them to use their knowledge to help young coders and makers. These programs represent a wide variety of options -- with commitments ranging from a just few hours up to several months -- so you can compare and see what's right for you:
Our list includes programs serving kids from elementary-age to high school, in everything from coding to robotics. You can serve as a mentor, a competition judge, an event host, and more. Check out the options, and if you know of a program that's not on our list, please let us know so we can add more!
